Comic ‘Jj’ Walker At Steve’s Dugout

Jimmie “JJ’ Walker, the comedian who made “Dyn-o-mite!” a household phrase in the early 1970s, will appear for two nights at Steve’s Dugout in Post Falls.

Walker, who was raised in New York’s South Bronx, got his television debut on the show “Good Times.” He has since made appearances on “Blossom,” “Dream On,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” and “In The House.” He also had parts in movies such as “Airplane” and “Home Alone 2.”

Time Magazine named Walker Comedian of the Year in 1969. His comedy album “Dyn-o-mite!” was nominated for a Grammy.

Walker performs at Steve’s Dugout both Saturday and Sunday evenings. The show starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20.
