Ogden Inducted Into Tourism Hall Of Fame
A Spokane woman just entered the Washington Tourism Hall of Fame.
Carolyn Ogden, director of tourism development for the Spokane Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, was inducted into the organization last month at the Washington State Travel and Tourism Conference in Tacoma. Ogden also was named tourism professional of the year.
Ogden was promoted to her current position in 1992 after joining the CVB in 1987 as convention services director. Among her accomplishments are: creating a tourism promotional video, designing advertising campaigns, and producing bureau publications. She also established the bureau’s Web site and helped set up the new Visitor Information Center on Main Avenue.
Ogden is responsible for marketing and public relations and oversees the communications and visitor information services departments.
