Chargers Sign Center

Compiled From Wire Services

Eight-year NFL veteran center Roman Fortin signed a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers, the fourth free agent brought in to help shore up one of the NFL’s worst offenses.

The deal, loaded with incentives, could be worth between $2.2 million and $2.8 million if Fortin starts.

Fortin joins fellow linemen John Jackson and Aaron Taylor and running back Natrone Means as free-agent additions.
