Gonzaga Plays WSU Today In Baseball Home Opener
A Gonzaga University baseball team starved for victories, finally gets a chance to play at home today when it takes on Washington State University at 2 p.m. at August/A.R.T. Stadium.
The Bulldogs (2-15 overall, 0-6 West Coast Conference), who have played their first 17 games on the road, have lost 13 in row, including Monday’s 8-5 setback at Cal State Northridge.
Today’s non-conference matchup against the Cougars (7-10) is the first of a five-game homestand that includes three WCC games against University of San Francisco this weekend.
GU and the Dons will play a single game Friday at 2 p.m. and a noon doubleheader Saturday.
WSU is coming off three consecutive Pacific-10 Conference losses at California. The Cougars are scheduled to open their home season Saturday at 1 p.m. against Oregon State.
WSU and the Beavers will play a noon doubleheader Sunday and a single game Monday at 1 p.m.
