Cliff/Cannon Area Elects Officers

The Cliff/Cannon Neighborhood Council has elected new officers for the coming year.

The co-chairs are Marty Davis and Chad Stoianoff. Davis will also serve as the Cliff/Cannon representative on the citywide Neighborhood Assembly.

The other officers are Ila Jones, treasurer, and Martha Wiley, in charge of membership.

During recent meetings, the neighborhood council has continued efforts to build its organization. The last meeting on March 10 drew 34 residents.

Stoianoff said he is pushing a proposal to develop subcommittees to work on various issues.

Some of those issues include crime, graffiti in the park on 14th Avenue, parking along residential streets, commercial services and traffic.

The neighborhood area includes Sacred Heart Medical Center, which has sent a representative to recent meetings.

The next meeting will be April 14 at 7 p.m. at the Woman’s Club of Spokane, 1428 W. Ninth.
