2 Arrested In Connection With Carjacking

Two people were arrested Thursday by Spokane police in connection with a carjacking early Tuesday.

Shinika S. Utsey, 20, 1819 W. First Ave. and a 16-year-old boy were taken into custody on charges of second-degree robbery. Police are still looking for a third suspect.

The owner of the car told police that three people forced their way into the car at the Circle K at 303 S. Altamont, ordered the victim to drive a few blocks and then get out of the car, which the suspects then drove away.

Police spotted the vehicle, a 1979 Mazda station wagon, parked on Second Avenue just west of Division early Thursday. The suspects later told police they bought the car for $200. , DataTimes
