Nic Assistant Coach Hospitalized

North Idaho College assistant baseball coach Tony Bevacqua said he’ll be back on the field for Sunday’s game after weathering a health scare.

Bevacqua suffered chest pains during practice Wednesday. Tests at Kootenai Medical Center determined Bevacqua has a partially blocked artery.

“It wasn’t a heart attack,” he said. “What it is, is I got a warning. I was lucky.”

He expected to be released from KMC Friday night or today.
