First Week Itinerary

President Clinton’s itinerary on his trip to Africa:

Monday Accra, Ghana. Arrival ceremony, private meeting and lunch with President Jerry Rawlings, speech in Independence Square, tour of Peace Corps project.

Tuesday - Kampala, Uganda. Tour school, village and local businesses.

Wednesday - Kigali, Rwanda. Meeting with genocide survivors and speech to survivors, aid workers and government officials. Entebbe, Uganda. Meeting with African leaders.

Thursday - Cape Town, South Africa. Speech to Parliament.

Friday - South Africa. Meeting and press conference with President Nelson Mandela, state dinner.

Saturday - Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sunday - Gaborone, Botswana. Meetings with President Ketumile Masire.
