Compiled From Wire Services

Bobby Labonte got past Jeff Burton in lapped traffic with 14 laps remaining and went on to win the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 Busch Series race in Darlington, S.C.

Burton, whose Roush Racing Ford led three times for 93 of the 147 laps on the 1.366-mile oval, nearly caught Labonte’s Joe Gibbs Racing Pontiac in traffic at the end, finishing only three-quarters of a car-length - .066-seconds - behind.

Kenny Wallace was the fastest in the second day of qualifying, taking the 26th starting spot in the 43-car lineup for today’s TranSouth Financial 400 with a lap of 168.301 mph in Darlington, S.C. Spokane’s Chad Little qualified 29th at 166.930.
