Boskin Will Speak At Ag Trade Center

Former Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Michael Boskin will discuss “Lessons from America’s Long Economic Boom” Thursday at the Agricultural Trade Center.

Boskin is this year’s James R. Jundt Professor of Economics at Gonzaga University. His speech to the 16th Economics Symposium is one of a series of talks he will give during a three-day stay at GU.

Boskin teaches economics at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University. Previous positions include professorships at Harvard and Yale universities, adjunct scholar to the American Enterprise Institute, and memberships on various committees advising Congress.

Boskin chaired the Council of Economic Advisers to the president from 1989 to 1993. He has written more than 100 books and articles.

The Jundt Professorship, which brings nationally known economists to campus, was established in 1989 by 1964 Gonzaga graduate James Jundt. , DataTimes
