Wanted: Great Teachers

Students in grades 7 to 12 are eligible to nominate a teacher for the Our Generation Best Teachers Contest. All you have to do is send a one-page letter with the teacher’s name, grade, subject and school on it and explain why he or she deserves to be named a Best Teacher.

Judges (all students, of course) will be looking for teachers who demonstrate creativity, innovative teaching styles, a sense of humor, respect for students and that they care about students outside of the classroom.

Send your nominations to Our Generation/Best Teachers, 999 W. Riverside, Spokane, WA 99201. You also may fax it to 459-5098, attention Our Generation/ Best Teachers, or e-mail it to ourgeneration@spokesman.com.

Be sure to include your full name and phone number. Entries must be postmarked by April 17. Winning teachers and their nominators will be featured in a future Our Generation page.
