Off-road vehicles are not being allowed in four meadows between the Little North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River and Forest Road 209 this spring.
The Forest Service is closing those meadows because increased camping and other use has created several trails. During spring, vehicles cause substantial damage to plants and soils, the Forest Service said.
The prohibition is effective immediately and will be in force until May 18. For more information contact Don Garringer at the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District - 769-3000. , DataTimes
