Man Guilty Of Sex Charge

A 21-year-old Boise man has been convicted of promoting prostitution in connection with offering his mentally retarded girlfriend to another person for sexual purposes, police in Vale, Ore., said.

Thomas Everett Thompson was placed on probation for three years and was ordered to have an evaluation for sexual offender treatment and follow the recommendations of the evaluator.

Thompson also is required to have no contact with his victim or other mentally retarded people and to pay $1,468 in fines and fees.
