Post Falls Now A Tree City Usa

From Staff And Wire Reports

The National Arbor Day Foundation has named Post Falls a Tree City USA.

To become a Tree City USA, a community must have a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance.

“A community’s tree-planting program is a living memorial to the citizens’ concern for the quality of life. The trees we plant and care for today will increase property values, cool and beautify our cities, fight pollution, conserve energy and give wildlife a home for years to come,” said John Rosenow, president of the National Arbor Day Foundation.

The program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation, the National Association of State Foresters and the U.S. Forest Service. , DataTimes
