Young Star Not A Fan Of Horror Films

Barry Koltnow The Orange County Register

Neve speaks:

On horror films: “Although I have been in a few, I was never a fan of horror films. I tried watching ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ a few weeks ago and turned it off. I wouldn’t have slept for a week if I had watched the whole thing.”

On being famous: “When I was in ballet school, most of the boys had posters of Alyssa Milano on the wall. It is very weird to think that my poster might be the one hanging from some boy’s wall.”

On fame: “There is a price to be paid, and that is a loss of privacy but, at the same time, I want to be successful because I want more people to see my work. Isn’t that the point of acting?”

On “Party of Five”: “Our troubles staying on the air is symbolic of what is wrong with television today. Networks take the audience for granted. They think the MTV audience doesn’t want quality stuff, and they’re wrong. Audiences are ready to meet interesting characters and listen to good dialogue.”

On her image: “I know a lot of people think of me as this very serious, unsmiling person, but I’m not like that. I’ll try to smile a lot more in the future.”
