Yankees 11, Blue Jays 4: At New York, Hideki Matsui homered twice and drove in a career-high six runs in the first three innings to lead the Yanks past Toronto.

Tigers 4, Red Sox 3: At Detroit, Dmitri Young had three hits and scored twice, including the go-ahead run in the sixth, to help the Tigers beat Boston. Carlos Guillen had three hits, including a game-winning single.

Angels 3, Royals 0: At Kansas City, Mo., Kelvim Escobar (6-8) struck out nine in seven innings, and Robb Quinlan hit a two-run homer in a three-run fourth that led Anaheim over the Royals.

Orioles 9, Rangers 1: At Baltimore, Erik Bedard (5-6) took a three-hitter into the seventh, and Miguel Tejada, Javy Lopez and Larry Bigbie homered to lead the Orioles past Texas.

Indians 3, White Sox 2: At Chicago, C.C. Sabathia (8-6) outpitched Mark Buehrle (10-5) in a matchup of top left-handers, and Coco Crisp hit a three-run homer to lead Cleveland past the White Sox.

Athletics 3, Twins 1 (11): At Minneapolis, Eric Chavez hit a go-ahead double in the 11th to lead Oakland past Minnesota.
