Basketball

Sign up: Fall sports leagues starting up soon at the Downtown YMCA. Women’s fours on Tuesday. Cost per team is $250. Men’s five-on-five is on Wednesday’s with a cost of $50 per player. Info: Wendy 838-3577 x125.

Canoeing/Kayaking

Cycling

Dressage

Aug. 14-15: Dressage spectacular with riders from four states and Canada, including Olympic-level riders, at Spokane Sport Horse, 10710 S. Sherman Rd.

Football

Aug. 15: Thirteenth annual BRRC Half-Fast Ultimate Runner at Gonzaga Prep. 5K at 7:30 a.m., 400 meters at 8:20 a.m., 100 meters at 9:05 a.m., 1600s meter at 9:40 a.m. and 10k at 10:20 a.m. Cost is $20. Info: 238-9591.

Aug. 22: 8k Spokane Indians Pennant Race at 8 a.m. at Riverfront Park that begins and ends at the Carousel. Shooting

Aug. 21: NRA’s Women on Target program and Life Preservation Institute sponsoring a shooting clinic for women at Ricochet Junction Range, 432 Smart Way in Colville. Clinic begins with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. Cost $25. Register by Aug. 20 by contacting Robert Garrow at bobmcret@theofficenet.com or call (509) 722-4110. All equipment, including firearms, will be provided. Clinic will feature training of safe handling or firearms to help participants learn fundamentals of shooting.

Tennis

Volleyball
