Stefan LeFors threw for one touchdown and ran for another to lead No. 7 Louisville to a 55-7 victory over Tulane on Saturday in New Orleans.

The nation’s top-rated passer completed 19 of 27 for 247 yards before leaving the game late in the third quarter.

The Cardinals (10-1, 8-0 Conference USA), ranked first nationally in scoring, were averaging nearly 50 points a game. They reached the 55-point mark for the fifth straight game.

Louisville’s lowest-scoring game was a 28-0 victory over Kentucky in the season opener. Since then, the Cardinals have scored no fewer than 34 points, and more than 40 points seven times.

Louisville had already clinched the conference regular-season title and a spot in the Liberty Bowl. Tulane (5-6, 3-4) had won three straight, and was hoping for an upset and a shot at a bowl game.

(19) Pittsburgh 43, S Florida 14

Tyler Palko threw for a career-high 411 yards and five touchdowns in three quarters, helping the Panthers (8-3) rout the Bulls (4-7) in Tampa, Fla., and virtually assure Pittsburgh the Big East spot in the BCS.

Greg Lee scored on receptions of 18, 6 and 7 yards for Pitt, while Malcolm Postell returned one of his two interceptions 15 yards for a TD that gave his team a 13-0 lead less than 5 minutes into the game.

Palko completed 19 of 28 passes and finished his afternoon by throwing for two scores in the last 1:27 of the third quarter.

Navy 42, Army 13

Aaron Polanco threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score, leading the Midshipmen (9-2) to a victory over the Black Knights (2-9) in Philadelphia, in the 105th meeting between the service academies.

Bowl-bound Navy hadn’t won nine games since Heisman Trophy winner Roger Staubach quarterbacked the Midshipmen to a 9-1 record in 1963.

Division II semifinals

Neal Philpot threw three touchdowns passes to lead Pittsburg State to a 31-19 victory over North Dakota (11-3) in the NCAA Division II semifinals in Pittsburg, Kan..

In the other semifinal, Fabian Walker threw two TD passes and ran for another score to guide Valdosta State to a 45-21 victory over West Chester (11-4), in Valdosta, Ga.

Pittsburg State (14-0) will face Valdosta State (12-1) in the championship game on Saturday in Florence, Ala.

Division III quarterfinals

Zac Bruney threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead Mount Union (12-0) to a 38-20 victory over Carthage (11-2) in Alliance, Ohio, putting the Purple Raiders in the Division III semifinals for the 10th straight year.

Mount Union, which has won seven Division III titles since 1993 and 121 of its last 123 games, will face Mary Hardin-Baylor at home on Saturday. Mary Hardin-Baylor (12-1) beat Washington & Jefferson (12-1) 52-16.

In the other quarterfinals, Brett Elliott threw a school-record seven touchdown passes to lead Linfield to a 56-27 win over Occidental (10-2) in McMinnville, Ore. Linfield (11-0) will host Rowan (10-2), a 56-7 winner over Delaware Valley (12-1).

NAIA semifinals

Tyler Emmert scored on a 1-yard plunge with 1:21 left to give two-time defending champion Carroll College a 14-10 victory over Azusa Pacific (11-3) in Helena, Mont., in the NAIA semifinals.

The Saints (11-2) will face St. Francis of Indiana (13-0) in the title game Dec. 18 in Hardin County, Tenn. St. Francis advanced with a 12-7 win over Georgetown, Ky. (12-1).

Junior college championship

JT Diederichs rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns to lead Dixie State (Utah) (10-2) to a 27-20 win over Grand Rapids Community College (Mich.) (9-2) in the Dixie Rotary Bowl for the junior college national title in St. George, Utah.
