Memorial doves will support work of hospice

Families and friends of deceased loved ones are invited to place a memorial dove on the annual Hospice of Spokane Community Memorial Tree.

The tree will be on display at the Spokane Transit Authority Plaza from Wednesday through Christmas.

White paper dove ornaments will be provided for participants to write names, messages or short poems. Donations are not required in order to hang a dove, but are welcome.

Hospice volunteers will be available to assist with the doves Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec. 22. Assistance is not required to place a memorial.

Hospice of Spokane provides direct care and support to terminally ill individuals and their families.
