Albi leads CCS women to win at Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Jackie Albi scored 17 points, hitting 7 of 13 from the field, and added seven rebounds as the Community Colleges of Spokane defeated the Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues 66-59 to take seventh place at the eight-team Dixie State (Utah) Invitational at Las Vegas.

Kristen Hilgert added 17 points and three steals for the Sasquatch (7-8), and Abby Shepherd hit 5 of 5 from the line on the way to 11 points. CCS reserve Melissa Claflin had a game-high 10 rebounds

Amy Gaudious and Becky Piper combined for 27 points and 11-for-17 shooting from the field for Brookdale (10-5). The Jersey Blues committed 23 turnovers.
