Liberty lose sixth straight game

Anna DeForge had nine of her career-high 26 points in a 23-7 second-half run, and the Phoenix Mercury beat New York 72-60 to hand the Liberty a franchise-record sixth straight loss. DeForge had 21 points in the second half for Phoenix, which overcame a 20-4 deficit.

New York will try to end its skid when they face the Seattle Storm Saturday at the Spokane Arena. Game time is 7 p.m.

Silver Stars 70, Lynx 57: At San Antonio, Adrienne Goodson had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and San Antonio ended a franchise-record losing streak of eight games with a victory over Minnesota.
