Area churches hosting music groups

Those looking for some inspirational music can visit one of two — or both — Valley churches that are hosting concerts in their sanctuaries this weekend.

Spokane Valley Assembly of God Church will host a performance by Higher Ground at 6 p.m. Sunday. The youth singing group includes members of Valley Assembly who tour the Northwest giving performances. The evening will include testimonies and videos.

The church is at 15618 E. Broadway Ave.

The Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave., will host the group Covenant during its 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The group includes students from Northwest Nazarene University.

Vacation Bible school

Hope Lutheran Church has scheduled its vacation Bible school for July 5 through 9 at the church, at 17909 E. Broadway Ave. The theme is “Construction, INC.” Sessions will be held daily from 9 a.m. to noon for children age 3 through the sixth grade. There is no charge.
