Bush has slight lead in Wisconsin

Associated Press

President Bush has a slight lead over Democrat John Kerry in Wisconsin, a state narrowly won by Al Gore in 2000.

Bush was backed by 46 percent, Kerry by 42 percent and independent Ralph Nader by 5 percent in the Badger Poll conducted by the University of Wisconsin Survey Center. The poll was sponsored by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and The Capital Times of Madison.

The poll of 504 adults taken June 15-23 has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
