Miller knocks Shock with last-gasp basket
Kelly Miller’s 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left gave the visiting Indiana Fever a 69-68 victory over the Detroit Shock in Tuesday’s WNBA play at Auburn Hills, Mich.
Miller inbounded the ball to Tamika Catchings, who drove to the basket before flipping the ball back to Miller on the left baseline for the game-winning jumper.
Mercury 77, Silver Stars 65: Anna DeForge tied a career high with 26 points to lead visiting Phoenix past San Antonio.
Phoenix, which snapped a two-game losing streak, placed four players in double figures. Plenette Pierson added 19 points, and Penny Taylor and Diana Taurasi had 14 apiece.
Sparks 69, Liberty 65 (OT): Mwadi Mabika made a 3-pointer at the end of regulation, then made three free throws in OT to seal Los Angeles’ win over visiting New York.
