Ironman aide hit by bike

Coeur d’Alene Ironman USA Coeur d’Alene volunteer Warren Fisher, of Coeur d’Alene, is in fair condition after being struck by a bicyclist at about 10:30 a.m. near the state line. Fisher was working at the Habitat for Humanity watering station when he stepped into the bike path to kick a water bottle out of the path. He was hit by bicyclist taking part in the triathlon. Fisher was sent to the intensive care unit at Kootenai Medical Center with a fractured skull, said Jim Erlanger, president of the Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho. Fisher suffered slight amnesia, shakes and a concussion, said Erlanger, who stayed with Fisher until about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
