Because of an editing error, a percentage figure was deleted from a letter published Wednesday from Ron Johns of Spokane. The affected sentence should have read: “Wild salmon are healthier, stronger and have longer lives, returning from the ocean at a 3 percent rate while hatchery fish return at a 1 percent rate.”
