NEW FACES

Currie Corbin has recently joined the Coeur d’Alene office of Oxyfresh Worldwide Inc., as director of business development. Corbin was previously director of marketing with ConoverBond Development of Spokane.

ELECTED/APPOINTED

Steve Tucker of Spokane Valley has recently been elected to the board of directors for the Truckload Carries Association. Tucker has over 25 years of experience in truckload management and holds a master’s degree in transportation from Northwestern University.

The Spokane Valley Community Center has recently announced its new board of directors. They are: president, Rick Hofmeister of Cherry Creek Mortgage Co.; vice president, Linda Bolster, a private child-development specialist; treasurer, Katie Reynolds of Spokane Teachers Credit Union; board coordinator, Matt Ewers of Inland Empire Distribution Systems; and secretary, Berta Bagley, secretary-treasurer for ACI.

Blue Cross of Idaho has recently announced the election of Jack Gustavel as chairman of the board. Gustavel is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Idaho Independent Bank in Coeur d’Alene.

KUDOS

Dr. John Haehl, a business professor at Lewis-Clark State College-Coeur d’Alene, has recently received the 2004 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Dr. Haehl serves as the North Idaho business coordinator and has been with the university for 12 years.

Frank Wilkey, an instructor in the justice studies program at Lewis-Clark State College-Coeur d’Alene, has recently been named faculty member of the year. Wiley has worked with the Idaho Bureau of Investigation, the Idaho Police Academy and the Pocatello City Police Department.

Dr. Dirk Vanderwall, an assistant professor at the University of Idaho, has recently received the George Oakshott Award by the Northern Idaho Veterinary Medical Association. He received this honor for his service to the veterinary profession in north Idaho and has been with the university since 1999.

PROMOTED

The Spokane office of Robert Half International has recently promoted Dianne LaValley to the position of branch manager. LaValley has been with the company since 1997 and has served in several different capacities, including division director of Accountemps.
