Due to a clerical error, the location of the EWU Choral Concert with Spokane Falls Community College was incorrect in last Friday’s 7 section. The event will be at SFCC’s Music Building Auditorium this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Decision to shoot bear mischaracterized

Due to incorrect information provided to the newspaper, a brief in Wednesday’s newspaper mischaracterized the decision to shoot a bear in northeast Spokane. Agents for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife decided to kill the bear rather than tranquilize it because the bear was too agitated for tranquilizers to be effective, said Madonna Luers of Fish and Wildlife.
