‘Nutcracker’ coming to Bonners Ferry, Sandpoint

Eugene (Ore.) Ballet makes its annual trip to North Idaho for performances of “The Nutcracker” on Monday in Bonners Ferry and on Tuesday in Sandpoint.

Dancing under the name Ballet Idaho, the touring company presents a fanciful interpretation of the holiday classic, with colorful sets by former Disney Imagineer Don Carson. Local dance students will participate in each production along with the professionals.

Monday’s performance marks the grand opening of Bonners Ferry High School’s Becker Auditorium. It begins at 7 p.m.; tickets are $20 and $18 reserved, $12 general admission. For information, call (208) 267-5256.
