‘Murder List’ offers suspense, romance

“Murder List” is another in Julie Garwood’s series featuring the Buchanan brothers.

Alec is a detective counting the days before he can leave Chicago to move to Boston and begin his FBI training. His last assignment in Chicago is to serve as bodyguard for heiress Regan. Of course Alec falls in love with Regan. Of course he tries to convince himself that he should keep “hands off.”

Of course, our heroine is pretty typical, too. Regan needs Alec’s protection when a killer focuses on her. Much of the book is spent trying to figure out who the killer is and why he has brought Regan into his misdeeds.

And, of course, showing how Regan and Alec try to fight the inevitable – and end up glad they lost that fight.
