Chinese tourists are taking the world by storm, buoyed by capitalist reforms and greater prosperity at home.

Right now, however, the Inland Northwest isn’t seeing much of that business — although it could, tourism officials here say. They believe Spokane and Kootenai counties will get a big boost of overseas interest following next year’s Sister Cities International conference here.
