The Phantom At the Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden, at 2 p.m. This is based on the book by Arthur Kopit, and is the predecessor to “Phantom of the Opera.” Additional performances Thursday-next Sunday, and Nov. 4-6. “Gint” Opens Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Schuler Auditorium in Boswell Hall on the North Idaho College. This NIC theater production is about a character that lies and seduces his way through life until he has to confront his actions. Directed by Joe Jacoby and starring Giuseppi Romano. “The Diviners” Opens Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Lake City High School Auditorium, presented by Troupe de Wolfe productions, directed by Sandra Seaton. The play takes place in a southern Indiana town of Zion during the dust bowl. Additional performances Friday and Saturday and Nov. 4-6. “A Dream in Hanoi” This is a film about the first Vietnamese production of “A Midsummer’s Night Dream,” and will be shown Friday. The Vietnamese troupe will perform the play Saturday Both events are at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint. The film will be shown at 8 p.m. and admission is $6; the play will be at 8 p.m. and is $20 for adults, and $8 for students 18 and under. Information: 263-9191.

Women’s Health Coach – The self-contained 40-foot mobile unit equipped to provide mammography screenings will be at North Idaho College Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Women must be at least 30 years old to have screening done on the coach. Those over 40 can have a mammogram without a physician’s referral and still have the service covered by insurance. Financial assistance is available for the uninsured. Information: 769-7818.

National Outdoor Leadership School bus will be on display Friday in front of the Edminster Student Union Building on the North Idaho College Campus. “Gender Outlaw: Adventures in the Gender Trade” – This film documents Kate Bornstein’s transformation from young boy into a transsexual lesbian, and will be shown at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Student Union Building Borah Theater at the University of Idaho.
