Here are sources for collectibles

Looking for political items that are collectible or just fun?

Start with the local campaign headquarters.

In Spokane, the Republicans have their main campaign office at Riverside and Browne; the Democrats are at 2004 N. Hamilton St.

Remember that candidates and parties use items as a way of raising money, so don’t be surprised to be asked for a “donation” for buttons, bumper stickers or signs.

Boo Radley’s, at Spokane Falls Boulevard and Howard, has a number of books, buttons and toys, including many shown in the photo.

The Collector’s Zone, which has stores at NorthTown, River Park Square and the Valley Mall, has Bush and Kerry bears, although they currently are out of the Kerry model. (That’s not necessarily an indicator of the outcome of the election; a clerk said they ordered more of the Bush bears.)

On the Internet

Many candidates’ Web sites have a section for items to purchase.
