Wheatland Bank opens new branch

The Spokesman-Review

Wheatland Bank is opening a new branch at 10925 N. Newport Highway, a bank spokesperson announced. The branch is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2005 and will be part of a 40-acre development being constructed by Vandervert Construction and developed by Pinewater Plaza LLC. It is at Highway 2 and Nevada Avenue.

This will be Wheatland’s third branch in Spokane. It will incorporate the company’s “Customer Connection” branch prototype, a design that includes a small business resource center and an Internet cafe where customers can independently apply for loans, pay bills online, watch TV or read the newspaper. In 25 years, Wheatland Bank has grown to eight branches in Spokane, Lincoln, Adams and Grant counties. It is a locally owned independent community bank.
