This young mother was dropped off in July at Kootenai Humane Society with three kittens. The babies all found new homes easily, as cute kittens are known to do. Meanwhile, momma is left to spend her days pacing the “Happy Cat” room where she mingles well with others, but craves more individual attention. If you point a camera in her face, Wanda takes several furtive laps around the room, but will settle down for a few strokes behind the ears. She is enamored with lens cap strings, camera straps and anything dangly that might be mistaken for a playmate. She’s a dilute calico, meaning shades of gray mix in with a lovely orange-and-white coat. If you think you can keep up with this energetic, newly-spayed cat, visit Kootenai Humane Society at 11650 N. Ramsey Road in Hayden Lake, or call 772-4019.
