“The Phantom” – Continues at the Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden, with curtain time at 8 p.m. This is based on the book by Arthur Kopit, and is the predecessor to “Phantom of the Opera.” Additional performance Sunday, and Thursday through next Saturday. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Thursday. Tickets: $14 adults, $12 seniors, $12 students, $8 children. Information: 667-1323.

“Gint” Continues at 7:30 p.m. in Schuler Auditorium in Boswell Hall at North Idaho College. This NIC theater production is about a character who lies and seduces his way through life until he has to confront his actions. Directed by Joe Jacoby and starring Giuseppi Romano. Additional performances Thursday through next Saturday. This play is intended for adult audiences. Information: 769-3220.

“The Diviners” Continues at 7 p.m. in the Lake City High School Auditorium, presented by Troupe de Wolfe productions, directed by Sandra Seaton. The play takes place in the southern Indiana town of Zion during the dust bowl. Additional performances Thursday through next Saturday. Cost: $5 adults, $4 students and seniors and $3 with Lake City ASB card and children under 12. Information: 769-0769.

“Midsummer’s Night Dream” The Vietnamese production will be performed at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint at 8 p.m. and is $20 for adults, and $8 for students 18 and under. Information: 263-9191.

Job Fair at Schweitzer from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday from noon-4 p.m. and next Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Lakeview Lodge in the Village.

Modeling Auditions at the Coeur d’Alene Resort for the Festival of Trees Fashion show. Children through ages 10 should arrive at 10 a.m.; Children 11 and up and adults arrive at 11. Women should wear a skirt.

Lakes Middle School Fall Carnival and Haunted House from 5-9 p.m. Dinner from 5-7 p.m., carnival from 5-9 and haunted house from 6-9. Entertainment includes bingo, cakewalk and more. Free and open to the public.

Kid’s Halloween Parade in Sandpoint at 2 p.m. Gather in the Power House building parking lot, and from there the parade will head down the sidewalks of Sandpoint. Businesses will have treats for the children.

“Gender Outlaw: Adventures in the Gender Trade” This film documents Kate Bornstein’s transformation from young boy into a transsexual lesbian, and will be shown at 2 p.m. in the Student Union Building, Borah Theater at the University of Idaho. This is part of National Coming Out Day. Information: 885-7716.

Homespun Holiday Craft Bazaar from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the restaurant at Twin Lakes Village Golf Course, located on Highway 41, four miles north of Rathdrum. Bake sale, lunch and exhibits by 20 artists. Food bank donations appreciated. Proceeds benefit Lakeland scholarships. Information: 687-3059.

Audubon Society Meet at the Fernan Forest Service parking lot at 7:30 a.m. or the cafe at the Rose Lake junction at 8 a.m. The group will ride bikes from Medimont to Harrison on the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and bird along the way. Haunted House in Ridenbaugh Hall at the University of Idaho. Stories of the hall’s ghosts are legendary, and the students of Sigma Alpha Iota and Phi Mu Alpha stage this annual event to entertain and to gather food for the Moscow Food Bank. Tours are from 6-10 p.m. with the first two hours more “child friendly.” From 5-8 p.m. children and their parents can come to Theophilus Tower across from the student recreation center for an evening of free entertainment, food and candy. Tower residents will hand out candy on all 11 floors.

Halloween in downtown Coeur d’Alene Kiddie costume parade starts at Seventh Street at 3:30 p.m. and travels west on Sherman to the Plaza Shops. Trick-or-treat participating merchants from 4-6 p.m. Have your photo taken in costume at the Library Foundation Office at 424 E. Sherman from 4-6 p.m., with the proceeds benefiting the new library building.

Tubaween – The Lionel Hampton School of Music host this event, Sunday in the University of Idaho Recital Hall at 8 p.m. Come in costume. Information: 885-7212.

Harvest Festival at Lutheran Church of the Master From 5-7 p.m. Sunday to include games, cupcake walk, mystery maze, photos with a scarecrow, hot dogs, cider and treats. Costume not required. The church is at 4800 Ramsey Road.

Book reading and signing by author and activist poet Chrystos, Monday at 6 p.m. in the University of Idaho Student Union Building as part of National Coming Out Day. Information: 8857716.
