North Side Neighborhood updates

Project draft available for viewing

The Greater Morgan Acres subarea plan draft is available for review. Tim Lawhead, senior planner with Spokane County, will accept comments in preparation for the final draft until Sept. 14.

C.O.P.S. Logan to hold yard sale

The Logan neighborhood C.O.P.S. will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 802 E. Sharp Ave.

Items such as small appliances, shelves, books, CDs, small furniture, tools and holiday decorations will be available. All proceeds will benefit C.O.P.S. Logan. There will be no sales before 8 a.m.

C.O.P.S. Northwest expands hours

C.O.P.S. Northwest is extending its hours on Wednesdays until 8 p.m. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Neighborhood Council meetings

“ The Balboa/South Indian Trail Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight outdoors at Balboa Elementary School, 3010 W. Holyoke Ave.

Agenda items include cleanup report, dump passes coming in October, nominations for new officers, proposed changes to meeting schedule and discussion of the East Bluff residents’ request to move from the Balboa’s. Indian Trail neighborhood to the Five Mile Prairie neighborhood.

“ The Five Mile Prairie Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 tonight at Five Mile Grange, intersection of Strong and Five Mile roads. The agenda includes a discussion of upcoming Prairie Day, park issues, neighborhood planning, traffic, Alliance award and schoolhouse historic registration.
