The Spokesman-Review

After scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 176 yards in the first game of his senior season, Josh Adams would need to do quite a bit to match his initial performance.

So Adams put Sprague-Harrington on his back, rushing for 278 yards on 25 carries to lead the Falcons (2-0) to a 28-14 B-8 non-league home football win over Dufur (Ore.).

Adams scored on runs of 85, 60, 6 and 44, with one coming in each quarter.

Keith McKinney, a Falcon junior, had 14 tackles to lead the way defensively.

• Inchelium rode Cody Peone to a 42-32 B-8 non-league win at Wellpinit. Peone carried 25 times for 254 yards, scoring two touchdowns for the Hornets (2-0). Phillip McLaughlin pitched in, carrying 13 times for 90 yards and two touchdowns and catching a touchdown pass. Tiny Moses caught two long touchdown passes for the Redskins (0-2) and returned a kick 80 yards for another score. … Curlew defeated visiting Mansfield 56-6 in B-8 non-league action. The game was called after three quarters because of the mercy rule. Sophomore Dillon Strandberg had 17 carries for 280 yards and six touchdowns to spur the Cougars (1-1).
