Book Sense award winners named

“Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell,” Susanna Clarke’s popular fantasy novel, is among the winners of this year’s American Booksellers Association’s Book Sense awards, given to books that independent stores most enjoy recommending and selling.

Other winners include Robert Kurson’s “Shadow Divers,” nonfiction; Blue Balliett’s “Chasing Vermeer,” children’s literature; and Doreen Cronin’s “Duck for President,” illustrated children’s book.
