“LOR Symphony” tickets available Tuesday
Tickets go on sale Tuesday for the Spokane Symphony’s performance of the “Lord of the Rings Symphony” in November at the Spokane Arena.
The rendition of Howard Shore’s six-movement symphony from his scores to the three “Lord of the Rings” films will feature more than 200 performers, including 70 orchestra players, a 120-voice choir, a children’s chorus and vocal soloists.
Accompanying images taken from original concept and storyboard artwork from the films will be projected on a large screen suspended above the orchestra.
The performance will be Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. in the Arena’s Star Theatre. Tickets range from $24 to $42 and are available beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. through the symphony ticket office (624-1200) and TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com).
Subscribers to either of the symphony’s classical or pops concert series will automatically receive “Lord of the Rings” tickets as part of their package.
