Two kids have only added to Julia”s three-time charm

The Spokesman-Review

AFTER HAVING TWINS last November, Julia Roberts is even more beautiful, according to People magazine. The actress graces the cover of People’s annual “50 Most Beautiful People” issue, on newsstands today.

It is a record-breaking third time that Roberts has been the issue’s cover girl.

“Now that she has her babies, she has reached the peak of beauty,” the magazine quotes Roberts’ friend and makeup artist, Genevieve. “She is satisfied and content. All of that shows.”

This year, People also polled online readers for their opinions. With more than 500,000 votes cast, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie – rumored to be linked romantically – were the overwhelming winners of most beautiful man and woman.

Among the other famous couples chosen: model Heidi Klum and her fiance Seal, Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey, and Jude Law and Sienna Miller.

Also making the list: Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade and Mischa Barton.

She’s just a kid, man!

Speaking of the beautiful people, two of them have become perhaps Hollywood’s most unlikely couple: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Cruise, 42, and Holmes, 26, have been dating for a few weeks, according to their publicists. They were photographed together this week in Rome, where Cruise today will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Italian equivalent of the Academy Awards.

Cruise, divorced from Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman, split up last year with Penelope Cruz. Holmes and actor Chris Klein recently called off their engagement after dating for five years.

Oh, what a bunch of babies

Soccer star David Beckham and his Spice Girl wife, Victoria, are suing their former nanny for telling a tabloid newspaper that their marriage was on the rocks.

A story alleging the Beckhams were having marital troubles, quoting former nanny Abbie Gibson, was published Sunday in the News of the World.

In addition to suing Gibson for breach of confidence, the Beckhams plan to launch legal action against News of the World. They are already suing the paper over the publication last year of details of an alleged affair between Beckham and his personal assistant.

There go her weekends

This just in: “Saturday Night Live” comedian-writer Tina Fey is expecting a baby in September.

It will be the first child for Fey, 34, and her husband, “SNL” composer Jeff Richmond.

Fey will remain at the “Weekend Update” desk with co-anchor Amy Poehler through the end of the season. She has been head writer at the show for five years.

Still, the duck’s no Donald

Donald Trump‘s latest wife, model Melania Trump, is starring alongside the Aflac duck in her first big TV commercial.

In the ad, a mad scientist swaps Trump’s sultry voice with the infamous insurance company spokesduck, voiced by comedian Gilbert Gottfried.

“He’s a real pro,” Trump said of the duck. “He made me feel very comfortable.”
