Fund-raiser car show Saturday

The Spokesman-Review

Little boys and cars go together, so it’s no surprise that family and friends of a 5-year-old boy with diabetes would throw a fund-raiser that’s a car show.

The Bailey’s Brigade Car Show will be Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the farmers’ market parking lot, in front of Liberty Square, 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane. Cars of all years, makes and models are welcome.

The show is part of an ongoing effort to raise money to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes.

Bailey Wills’ grandparents and family members formed Bailey’s Brigade after watching his battle with juvenile diabetes.

The child was diagnosed with the disease at 10 months, and is preparing to enter kindergarten. He uses an insulin pump.

Last year the group raised $3,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Admission to the car show is $5, with no charge for children under age 12.
