Holiday concerts planned

Do you hear what I hear? The sounds of Christmas are beginning to fill the air in the Valley. Those who find themselves in need of a dose of Christmas cheer can drop in on a holiday concert in the Valley.

•The choir from Foothills Community Church, along with several other choirs, has been invited to perform in a community Christmas concert Tuesday. Each group will perform for about 15 minutes. The concert will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road.

•Singers from Christian Youth Theater will perform a Christmas concert Sunday at 6 p.m. at Opportunity Presbyterian Church. The holiday event will be followed by a dessert potluck. All are welcome. The church is at 202 N. Pines Road.

It’s plum good

The annual Plum Pudding Festival at the Veradale United Church of Christ kicks off Sunday at 3 p.m. The festive family event includes Christmas carols, poems, stories and, of course, plum pudding.

The church is at 611 N. Progress Road. Call 926-7173 for more information.
