Riverside and Deer Park’s basketball teams travel to the central part of state to play games at Cascade (Leavenworth) and Cashmere. The biggest game of the four will be Riverside’s boys at Cashmere’s boys on Friday night. Cashmere finished fourth at state last year with a 23-4 record and has played in the last four State 2A tournaments. Riverside opened the season with a 62-46 win at Lakeland. … Chewelah, Pullman and Deer Park all play this week against Freeman, one of the best small school girls teams in the area.
