Holiday Wienerfest Fund-raiser for Dachshund Rescue NW: 2nd annual. Join the Dachshund Club of Spokane members for our fun holiday dog party. Dachshunds only please. This is a potluck so please bring a dish for 10+ people. Please leave home any aggressive or unhealthy dogs, bring shots records for your dog if you have never attended our other events. Fun, free dog games with prizes and lots of laughs. We also teach you to teach your dogs to run the Wiener Dog Races we run throughout the year in the area. Ag Expo: Jan. 17-19. More than 250 exhibitors, bioenergy pavilion, cattle exhibits, photography contest, ag expo parade and Internet cafe. Hours are Jan. 17-18, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Jan. 19, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Spokane Convention Center. $10/adults, $6/age 12-18, free/under age 12.

Second Annual Morgan Horse Open House: This is a free event for the audience to attend to learn about the history of the Morgan horse breed, the first American breed of horse. All other American breeds of horses used the Morgans as their foundation breed. You can enter your horse online at our Web site or see last year’s entries and horses being entered daily.
