Santa, Fire 8 firefighters will tour neighborhoods

Children in neighborhoods near Regal Street will have a chance to meet Santa Claus this weekend as he travels with firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 8.

Santa will be riding in a firetruck, handing out candy to children.

He will travel through Hangman Valley before going through the Moran Prairie Neighborhood between Regal Street and Glenrose Road and south of Sumac Court to 65th Avenue Friday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday between 4:30 and 8 p.m. he will travel through Glenrose, then the Moran Prairie Neighborhood west of Regal Street to Garfield Road and north of 57th Avenue tp 53rd Avenue.

Santa and the firefighters will end their trip Sunday by driving through the Moran Prairie Neighborhood west of Regal Street to Helena Street and south of 57th Avenue to Westminister Lane from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

Cheryl Sparks, office assistant for District 8, said everyone at the station is excited about spreading holiday cheer.

“They have the best fun doing this,” Sparks said. “I think they’re as excited as the children.”
