Gonzaga’s Mark Few, who picked up his 150th career win when his Bulldogs drilled Santa Clara 92-75 on Saturday, ranks No. 3 on the NCAA Division I victory list for sixth-year head coaches. Few is nine wins behind Roy Williams, who won 159 from 1989-94 at Kansas, and Everett Case, who won a record 161 in his first six seasons at North Carolina State. … Few and Williams also rank 1-2 in winning percentage among active coaches with a minimum of five years of head coaching experience. Few is No. 1 with a 150-36 record (80.6 percent), followed by Williams, who is 456-114 (80.0 percent) in his 17 seasons as a head coach. … Looking for versatile? Try Santa Clara’s Doron Perkins, a 6-foot-2 senior guard, who is the only WCC player to rank in the top 15 (conference games only) in scoring (15.4 ppg – 13th), rebounding (5.3 rpg – 11th), assists (3.3 apg – fifth) and steals 2.3 spg – first). … San Diego’s starting front line of Brandon Gay, Brice Vounang and Nick Lewis combined to score 126 points and pull down 45 rebounds in last week’s wins over Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine. … LMU’s Matthew Knight has scored 20 or more points in seven games this season. … This just in from ESPN.com’s Andy Glockner: “A lot of people, nationally, were on Gonzaga for losing two league games, but the WCC (along with the Missouri Valley Conference) might be the most competitive conference – top to bottom – in the country.”
