Ben Stiller may end up looking a little slimy as host of Nickelodeon’s 18th annual Kids’ Choice Awards. The freewheeling ceremony, in which children pick their favorites in entertainment and sports, includes trademark green slime dumped on an unlucky participant.

Stiller, whose latest film is “Meet the Fockers,” will host the awards for the first time on April 2.

Leading the nominees is “Shrek 2,” which received five bids including favorite movie and favorite video game.

Hilary Duff received three nominations, including favorite movie actress (“A Cinderella Story”), TV actress (“Lizzie McGuire”) and female singer.

Usher also got three nods, one for favorite male singer and two for favorite songs (“Burn” and, with Alicia Keys, “My Boo”).

Voting begins March 7 on Nick.com, through wireless text messaging on cell phones and by mail with ballots included in the March issue of Nickelodeon magazine.

Now, Nicole, it gets complicated

“The Simple Life” co-star Nicole Richie, 23, is engaged to her main squeeze of one year, disc jockey Adam Goldstein, her publicist says. No wedding date was announced.

Not so lucky in love: “CSI: Miami” star David Caruso and actor Lou Diamond Phillips, whose wives have filed for divorce. Caruso has been married to his second wife for eight years, with no children; Phillips and his wife of 11 years have three daughters.

Sarah’s scents in a bottle

Former “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker has signed a deal with Coty to develop a line of fragrances, saying her first perfume will be “fresh.”

“It’ll be intentionally quiet, not a very aggressive scent,” says Parker, adding: “It’s not a scent you’ll smell before a person walks in a room. I don’t want it to not have social skills!”

Moss gathers Glamour honors

Sarah Jessica Parker, by the way, was just named the third best-dressed woman in the world by British Glamour magazine, after supermodel Kate Moss and actress Sienna Miller (Jude Law‘s fiancée).

Worst-dressed was British model Jordan, followed by fellow model Jodie Marsh, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Mblem fits Mandy to a T

Pop star Mandy Moore says she created her own fashion line and label, Mblem, so that she could have an unlimited supply of “functional, casual and sexy” T-shirts.

“It all evolved from the fact that I’m totally the jeans and T-shirt girl. If I can get away with wearing jeans and a T-shirt somewhere, I’ll do it,” Moore says, adding: “Getting dressed up is fun, but I’m really just a lazy bum, and that’s the extent of the wardrobe in my mind.”

Black robe to White Stripes

White Stripes rocker Jack White says he was on the road to divinity school as a teen when an amplifier changed his mind.

“I’d got accepted to the seminary in Wisconsin, and I was going to become a priest, but at the last second I thought, ‘I’ll just go to public school,’ ” White said on the CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes Wednesday.”

“I had just gotten a new amplifier in my bedroom, and I didn’t think I was allowed to take it with me.”
