Feature creature

Dudley was almost the perfect gentleman. He restrained himself from jumping on the couch, but couldn’t wait to get outside and left a puddle on the floor. He was calm and loved to be petted during a recent romp outside at the Spokane County Regional Animal Care and Protection Services shelter. He seems to know basic commands but could use a bit more training. He would come when called only if he wasn’t too busy sniffing a bush. He looks like a chocolate Labrador but has shorter legs than is normal for the breed. He was found wandering near Perry and Deer Park-Milan Road on Jan. 6 and brought in to the shelter.

Anyone interested in adopting Dudley or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter at 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal. Dogs cost $75.01 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian.
