Sunrise Community Science Presenter’s Night – Sunrise Elementary School, 14603 E. 24th Ave., Veradale, is hosting its annual Science Presenter’s Night, Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. Presenters from the area will display their science exhibits to entice students and parents to the science field and hopefully inspire the students for the school’s upcoming science fair Feb. 23-25. Multi-Cultural Folk Dancing: Silver Spurs Youth Folk Dancers – Youths in grades three through six and seven through 12 can learn clogging, German, Ukrainian, Romanian and Irish folk dancing and swing at Silver Spurs International Folk Dance Youth Group, 1426 E. 19th Ave. Some scholarships are available. Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Camp Fire USA – Clubs forming for children between the ages of 3-grade 12. Call the Camp Fire USA Service Center for more information, 747-6191.

Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Birthday and group workshops; $8 per person. Young Mom’s Life Skills/Support Group – Teen Parent Network provides a weekly young mom’s group for moms between the ages of 13-24 for encouragement, understanding, and acceptance.
